East of England LGA

The East of England Local Government Association (EELGA) is the European Partnership's single largest partner and as such we are a core strategic service of the East of England LGA.

It is a politically-led, cross party organisation which works on behalf of the 52 local authorities in the East of England to harness their collective strength to shape and serve their communities and localities.

The East of England LGA is supports, promotes and seeks to improve local government. They are committed to helping ensure that local government in the East of England has:

  • Fair public funding and the freedom and powers to stimulate economic growth
  • The opportunity to work collaboratively to ensure that local authorities are better-placed to take strategic investment decisions, learn from each other and lobby for investment from public, private and European sources to bring about the best possible services for their communities
  • The capacity to deliver quality and cost-effective services to make life better for local people.
