Jackie studied Geography and Social Anthropology at Leicester University, followed by the post-graduate qualification of the Royal Institute of Housing. She spent seventeen years working in the field of social housing, mostly in inner London, including six years as Head of Policy and Research at the London Housing Unit representing London councils and working in particular with tenants’ groups.

Life took an unexpected turn and she moved to Belgium, subsequently joining the East of England Brussels Office where she has worked part-time since 2005. Her policy areas include research, ICT, health, social policy, and migration.

Despite a long standing passion for travel Jackie still has a lengthy list of places she would love to visit with her family. In the meantime she spends a lot of time walking a bonkers dog while daydreaming about them.
