Jonathan is responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of the Brussels Office and its team. He focuses on the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF), EU institutional engagement, TEN-T, EU budget policy and the EU 2020 Strategy. 

He is a graduate of both the University of Kent and the University of Leeds specialising in European policy-making and governance.

Jonathan arrived in Brussels in January 2008 to undertake a traineeship with a Member of the European Parliament for London where he concentrated on transport policy and the monitoring of political developments in South Asia. Later that year he joined the Greater Manchester Brussels Office as their European Information Officer. After a brief spell working on economic development for Canterbury City Council, Jonathan returned to Brussels in November 2009 to join the East of England Brussels Office. In January 2015, he was appointed the new Head of Office for the East of England European Partnership.

In his spare time, Jonathan likes baking and practicing his Dutch.
