Event: Channel Research Day, 19 March, Caen, France

In the context of Brexit and the negotiations on the future cohesion policy post-2020, the Channel Research Day aims to highlight the importance of Franco-British scientific cooperation in the Channel area.

This event will provide an opportunity for discussions and exchanges of knowledge and best practice on the future of the Channel area between both political representatives and those from higher education.

The day will also be an opportunity to take stock of the various projects carried out in recent years, particularly within the framework of the INTERREG France - (Channel) - England Programme, and to take forward Franco-British bilateral relations in the field of higher education and research.

For this event, four scientific themes have been selected:

  • Biomedical research
  • Chemistry
  • Renewable marine energies
  • Marine ecosystems
