Horizon Europe - State of Play

March 2019 update

In the early hours of the 20th March EU institutions reached a landmark agreement on the Horizon Europe Programme. At the seventh 'trilogue' negotiation meeting between Council, Parliament and Commission, the parties agreed their approach to the research and innovation funding Programme which will run from 2021-2027.  The agreement was reached before the current European Parliament breaks for the elections, which was an ambitious target. The agreement doesn't include the budget for the Programme which will be discussed when the EU's future budget discussions are finalised later this year.

This East of England European Partnership briefing looks at the state of play.
