Get Online Week 
Get Online Week is a campaign supported by the Commission focussing on digital skills . It will take place from 14-20 March with events being held across the EU.

Consultation Results – Broadband
The European Commission recently published the results of a public consultation it held on Europeans' broadband needs at the end of last year. Many of those that responded to the consultation felt that current broadband speeds did not fulfill their needs and that more needed to be done to ensure infrastructure kept up with developments. 

Digital Skills levels
The European Commission has recently published data relating to the levels of digital skills in each Member State.

INNOVEIT 2016 
The EIT’s Innovation Forum, INNOVEIT 2016, will take place in Budapest on 25-26 April 2016. This event combines the EIT Awards and the EIT Stakeholder Forum and has a specific focus on joining forces for innovation in Europe. The event will explore opportunities for collaboration between the EIT, KICs and other initiatives and activities in the area. 

Digital Economy and Society Index
The European Commission has recently published the results of the Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) which shows how individual EU Member States are performing against a number of digital indicators.  DESI looks at connectivity, human capital, use of internet, integration of digital technology and digital public services and provides a ranking of EU Member States. In 2016, the UK lies in 6th place behind Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland and Belgium. Country specific profiles are also available. 

Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Telecom Draft Work Programme 2016
A draft of the 2016 work programme for the CEF telecom programme has recently been published. It gives details of the priorities for the year as well as timings and budgets for calls for proposals. Topics for this year include eInvoicing, etranslation, cyber security amongst others.
